Who doesn’t love a good book list to source reading books from! Gifted readers are a tricky lot – reading fast, above their age range and interested in a wide variety of topics. Other sites have done some of the work for us so I’ve linked to some excellent reference sites below.

Hoagies (USA) have the biggest reading lists including a hot topics reading list and one on grief and grieving.

Find books at a similar level to books your child is already reading… a handy tool.

We also like BookPsychic. BookPsychic gives you high-quality recommendations drawn from your own library’s collections including WCC Library.

Brightly
Brightly features book recommendations from all publishers for every age and stage, reading tips and insights, seasonal inspirations, author essays, contests, gift guides, and more (USA based).

Mightly Girl (USA)
Mighty Girl’s book section features over 2,000 girl-empowering books.

Goodreads
This list has over 500 books written by NZ authors.
